Tried to catch up with you in BlogCatalog but they were doing maintenance so thought I would go straight to your travel blog. Pretty interesting it is as well, we ought to exchange links when you have a minute or two.

Never been to South America but it looks fabulous. Drop by my blog sometime and have a look, never hurts to help each other out.

Great article! Peru is a fantastic place. Machu Pichu is one of the most spectacular sites I've seen. I hope to visit South America again soon.

I thank you for your kind comments over blog catalog. What a wonderful little space this is! I am enjoying poring over the archives.

Travel, Wanderlust, the urge to explore and the impulse to meander around gas-stations at three in the morning in a far off state or country is something not everyone has....

And I pity those who don't.

Best,

Wrench

Why anyone would want to leave Santa Fe, New Mexico, for any reason whatsoever, is beyond me.

Just kidding ;)

Nice blog, tho.

I visited New Mexico years ago, and have remained "enchanted" ever since I flew home. It still haunts me. I was just mentioning this to someone yesterday.

Then, I stumble upon your blog. Strange world, huh?

Thanks for the insights into Peru. I have never been, but hope to go someday. The part about non-biodegradable products reminded me of what I learned during my recent trip to Guatemala. Apparently, now (what we consider) unsightly, non-biodegradable trash is a status symbol for indigenous families to have near their homes. It shows they can afford to buy such things. People from outside come in and try to introduce trash or recycling programs, but they don't really work, since the locals don't buy into them. It's sad, but then again, do we have the right to judge that?
